SWGMC inducted into Chris Needs' Friendly Garden

We received a lovely Christmas present this year: Chris Needs gave the whole choir membership to his Friendly Garden. We even got this certificate to prove it, see!

We were especially delighted to have the legendary radio presenter and entertainer himself as our special guest at our Christmas concert in Cardiff. Many thanks Chris!

Merry Christmas Everybody from SWGMC!

It's been a busy but fun lead up to Christmas this year and we are now looking forward to letting our hair down at the Kings Cross on Thursday 23rd December where we will be giving an informal rendition of our Christmas concert highlights. Come along for a fun night out!

On the weekend we, and our lovely audience, braved the snow and ice for our Christmas concerts in Swansea and Cardiff. A great time was had by all. We were delighted to welcome back our guest soloist, Toby Hunt, who wowed us all with his stunning vocals and Elvis Presley costume! This year we also had the pleasure of having spoken word artist Mab Jones perform her laugh-out-loud comic verse, which was absolutely exquisite.

This Christmas we have been raising money for the Cardiac Unit in University Hospital Wales, Cardiff. Many thanks to all you generous people who have donated money to this essential, life-saving service. Most of us know someone who has suffered cardiac problems and know how important it is to get medical help quickly. It's been our privilege to help raise some funds for the work that the cardiac unit staff do, day and night, to serve our community.

A big thank you to all our supporters! It was great to see you, whether it was at our concerts, carolling in Mermaid Quay, singing at the switching on of the lights in Penarth or at one of our other events. If you couldn't get to see us this time then we will be back next year, getting ready for our spring and summer programme.

A very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!

Christmas Concert Dates Announced!

This is an evening for all ages; for all who like great singing and cracking music from Wales' latest, fastest growing and popular men's choir.
